We thought it would be a great way to showcase all of our amazing vendors. Our first Spotlight goes to Chelsea Yeatts from One Fine Day Events!
Not only has Chelsea been a valued RWN member for years, she is now one of our Committee Members! Chelsea will be the person in charge of our Social Media. Feel free to reach out to her and let her know what an amazing job she has been doing!
As part of the spotlight, we want to learn more about our vendors so here is our interview with Chelsea!
Q - When did you start your business?
A - Officially launched One Fine Day Events in January 2016, although I had many years of event planning under my belt before that with previous jobs.
Q - Tell us about one of your favorite parts about your job.
A - It’s so hard to pick just one, but I love the uniqueness of my job. Of course, there are a lot of things that are standard practice and routine when planning, but the people, story, and vision are always different. And getting to be a part of so many amazing stories is by far the most rewarding and fun aspect of what I get to do.
Q - Where do you see yourself five years from now?
A - If these last two years have taught us anything, it’s to be thankful for what we have while we have it. I always have a constant goal of improvement, education, and growth and I rely on those around me for all of those things because you cannot build a business alone. And while I have many aspirations and plans in place for my business within the next five years, my biggest hope is that as each year goes by I don’t lose sight of what is important in life. I tell my couples the same thing as we plan their wedding. Your family and loved ones are the most important thing and goals for growth and success in that area first should always be a priority. Because when you have that then everything around you will blossom.
Q - Tell us more about you.
A - I have been married since 2013 to my husband, Devin, and he has seen me through this crazy world of building a business without a hint of doubt or question. We have two boys together which always keeps me on my toes. We also have 2 dogs and 2 cats which just adds to our crazy household. But that's what makes life interesting.
Q - What one piece of advice would you offer for couples planning their wedding?
A - No matter if you’ve just started out or are in the thick of it, my advice is the same. Don’t forget why you are here. What brought you to this planning process? The love you share for one another did. The promise you both want to make to each other. Yes, a party is fun, and believe me, we will plan an awesome party, but the entire reason you are even in this position is because you want to be married. No matter what happens at the end of the day, you both are starting an amazing new chapter in your lives and that’s worth everything. Remember your priority, which is each other.
