About RWN

The Roanoke Wedding Network was started in 2011 by Vicki Itson of Simplicity (www.eventsbysimplicity.com).  The group was founded as a way for Roanoke’s wedding vendors to meet new people and promote their small businesses.  The first event was in a restaurant and a whopping 12 people in attendance.  Today, there’s over 200 members of the group with an average of 80-100 people attending each bi-monthly networking reception.

The group is free to join for any Roanoke area wedding vendor, and our networking receptions are always free to attend.  We promote networking, socialization and idea sharing. Our goal is to provide networking opportunities for wedding vendors to build their referrals. We welcome new vendors to the area and help promote their business.

RWN is the creator of the Annual Spring Time “Wedding Crawl” in downtown Roanoke.  This event is open to the public and highlights over 60 of the most creative wedding vendors in the Valley.  Guests are invited to “crash” venues in downtown that are set up just like an actual wedding reception!  Check out our “Wedding Crawl” page for more info.

We invite wedding vendors to “like” us on Facebook:  www.facebook.com/roanokeweddingnetwork to stay up-to-date on specials, promotions and events.  We highly encourage use of the facebook page to promote your business to others!

Also, be sure to get on our membership list to receive emails about events, news and specials.  Just send an email to Vicki Itson: simplicityhelpsyou@gmail.com.  If you are interested in sponsoring a future event, let Vicki know that as well.

Be sure to thank our Executive Committee (I have a real committee now! EEK!) for their many hours of work, ideas and determination to make YOUR business grow:

I’m an ordained, state registered, wedding officiant. It is my goal to give the couple the exact ceremony they want.
